The Interceptor 400 is aimed at the beginner looking for their first serious helicopter purchase. This machine is low cost, low maintenance with 'no slop' precision components produced by experienced r/c engineers and 3D pilots. It is compatible with our Alien Command stabilization unit that takes this extremely stable machine to one that is very difficult to crash when setup and flown according to our guidelines. The Interceptor 400 comes in kit form and the first being INT-400 Kit and INT-401 Kit Assembled and both these units come with and without Alien Command. INT-401 can be assembled in about 25 mins and the unassembled kit INT-400 taking longer.

The Interceptor 400 is a mechanical mix design where one servo controls one aspect of control whether it is aileron, elevator, collective pitch or rudder this allows it to be setup with Alien Command stabilization unit.

This aspect also means there is no eCCPM involved in setup on your radio - making it really very simple to setup ideal for a beginner.

The kit tolerances and quality are excellent with but the costs are low making this an ideal starter option or an ideal second purchase kit to swap over your electronics. Although the Interceptor is designed with the beginner in mind - it is fully 3D capable with precision control and will not hold the beginner back from progressing to aggressive 3D manoeuvres.

It is fanatically supported - a critical factor.

Alien Command looks at the horizon with infrared heat sensors (this same technology is used in thermal imaging cameras). The Earth is warm (even when covered with snow) below the horizon, while the sky is cold above the horizon. Alien Command sees this temperature difference. When Alien Command senses changes in aircraft attitude relative to the infrared horizon, it sends corrective signals to keep the aircraft level. It can only be used with the Interceptor 400 due to it's 90 degree swashplate, most other common place 120 degree helicopters will not work.

Flying with Alien Command is easy. When you center the control stick, Alien Command automatically returns the aircraft to level flight Alien Command works over a wide range of weather conditions. A simple calibration adjusts Alien Command to the local environment, and a sensitivity control changes Alien Commands responses to match pilot skills.

Alien Command is an excellent teaching aid because it maintains stable flight while the student develops flying skills (the key is to center the sticks to regain control). Advanced pilots find Alien Command is useful for flying and landing under windy conditions. Alien Command can help tame an unstable aircraft, and is ideal for maintaining control during your first flights with a new model.

If your transmitter has an unused channel, you can control Alien Command from the ground. Turn it on when its needed, and turn it off when it isnt needed. If the channel has proportional control, you can also remotely adjust Alien Commands sensitivity.
